Ochtinská aragonitová jaskyňa

The cave is part of the Natural World Heritage. It is a unique natural creation that attracts visitors with its diversity, richness and beauty of aragonite decoration. Three generations of aragonite can be found in this Cave, the first of which is 121 to 138 thousand years old. The cave spaces were created by the activity of atmospheric waters in crystalline limestones. In these underground cavities, aragonite decoration was later created (especially the Heart of Hrádek formation), which is a unique natural phenomenon with its beautiful decoration in the form of needles, tufts, shrubs, spikes and suns. Its white color contrasts with the bluish background of limestone.

Ochtinská Aragonite Cave is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
