The top group of limestone cliffs about 10 meters high on the shabby peak of the Volovec hill called Skalisko (Volovec massif) with an altitude of 1,293 m above sea level. It offers a unique circular view of the surroundings. Under good weather conditions you can see the High Tatras, Spišská Magura, Levočské vrchy, Low Tatras with Kráľova hoľa hill (1,946 m above sea level), Beskid Sadecki in Poland, Hungarian mountains Bükk and Mátra, with the highest peak of Hungary Kékes (1,014 m above sea level) and Polonina Runa (1,482 m above sea level) in Ukraine.

Not far from Skalisko (Volovec massif), about 15 minutes along the green sign towards the village Čučma, there is a tourist cottage below Volovec. The cottage offers accommodation and meals for tourists. Right next to the cottage you can refresh yourself with a hearty mountain spring.

How to get there:

Rožňava –  Čučma – Skalisko – Volovec Saddle

1st route: Čučma, Malá skala (small rock), cottage Volovec, Skalisko (Volovec massif). Tour length approx. 8 km, 2.5 hours.

2nd route: Betliar, Volovec, Skalisko (Volovec massif), cottage Volovec. Tour length approx. 12 km, 3.5 hours
